Vegas initially learned to play golf from watching his father and mimicking the game with a broomstick and rock, or with whatever else he could find. He eventually began to play at a nine-hole course and trained under Franci Betancourt. This is Vegas’ first appearance at the CVS Caremark Charity Classic. Vegas played in five events this year. He won the Bob Hope classic and came in 3rd at the Farmers Insurance Open. He is the first rookie to win the Bob Hope Classic, in its 52 year history. Vegas also placed Top 10 in two other tournaments.
