J.B. Holmes

Biography

Defending champion, J. B. Holmes, will be making his third appearance at the CVS Caremark Charity Classic. Holmes started his golf career as a member of the varsity golf team at Taylor County High School in Campbellsville when he was in the third grade. Playing with a “grip it and rip it” style of play, Holmes is known for his compact swings and long driving capabilities. In the 2010 season, Holmes played in 26 events taking second and third place in two tournaments and making the Top 10 in three of them. He posted his third consecutive Top 10 performance at the Northern Trust Open. Holmes has already played in two events in the 2011 season. Holmes uses his childhood friend Brandon Parsons as his caddy.
