The CVS Caremark Charity Classic is Rhode Island’s largest charitable sporting event and hosts some of the best PGA and LPGA professional golfers in the world. Funds generated by the tournament, launched in 1999, are distributed to area nonprofit organizations that provide vital funding to a range of programs serving children, families and people in transition throughout Southeastern New England. Raising nearly $1.2 million in 2011 for charities across Rhode Island and Massachusetts, bringing the total funds raised since its inception to more than $15 million.

Professional Format
Professionals will be paired into 10 two-person teams. Each team’s hole score is determined by the better score of the two players.
In the event of a tie at the conclusion of 36 holes, the playoff hole will be the 18th.

Skins Competition
The Skins Competition is an added $50,000 tournament within the CVS Caremark Charity Classic that takes place on Monday, June 18 and Tuesday, June 19, 2012. The purse is split $25,000 per day and is divided among the teams securing one or more skins on that day.
